I watched you from a distance. You seemed so glorious and perfect. I wanted to talk to you, but I was afraid. Even though you were in most of my classes for two years, we never spoke. Whenever you're near, my heart starts pounding really loud and I start breathing faster. I don't know if you cast a spell on me, but I'm so in love with you.

You came over to my cousin's house to practice playing the Hmong flute with your grandfather, and I stood by the window and stared at you. You're so perfect in every way.

One day in class, the teacher assigns us to work together. I breathlessly ask to look at your paper as I could hear my heart pounding away in my ears. I took deep breaths trying to calm myself. You must have been shy also because you didn't reply, but simply handed me your paper.

At the end of our second year together, I stood by the window again and watched you from a distance. I heard that you were moving away. I watched you with tears in my eyes. My heart was breaking, and you didn't even know. You will never know because I was confident you couldn't love someone like me.

We went to seperate high schools and we both made it to college. Through out the years, you remained on my mind. And it always made me have butterflies when I thought about you.

Years later, I see you. You're with a group of friends, visiting your sister and my college. Your sister happened to go to the same college as I did. You're still cute, but you've changed a lot.

And so have I.
