Who's online
A request for the website moderators.
I may be a moderator but only in the chat room. I have no relation with the website itself but I have a simple request.
It has come to my understanding that many of these blogs have violated the Terms and Conditions of the website. I know that we're not being paid to look over this site but since we come here so often why not pitch in? I have waited long for a heroic moderator to step up and lay down the rules but since nobody has come to save our beloved website, I'll have to just lay down the rules that may stop future events.
Coming here on HP so very often, I've used about all the features it has to offer us. I've read many things here too that the admin himself posted. One of those things happens to be the Terms and Conditions that we all agreed on. You can check in "my account", in the edit tab, to see that you agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Use. That being said, I would like to continue onwards to my request.
My request is simple, I just want someone to stand their ground as a moderator and clean up all these infringements we have here on the website. I'm sure you've all read it and some even replied to it. I won't be listing all the items that are in consideration but I'll bold and underline the following lines below that I find suitable to our current case.
Material which defames, abuses or threatens others.
Statements that are bigoted, hateful or racially offensive.
Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.
Unauthorized copyrighted material.
Material that contains vulgar, obscene or indecent language or images.
Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation.
Material that does not pertain to the room or bulletin board's given topic.
Statements or postings which violate the above terms will be deleted from postings upon discovery. Depending on the nature of the violation, HmongPride.com at its sole discretion may terminate Customer's account.

Yes, I know that some of you had taken action and attempted to delete these infringements but that is not enough. These infringements are still occurring and lately, very frequently so this leads me to no other choice but to submit a request to the appropriate authorities.
Please consider enforcing these rules as you expect me to enforce mine. Let's shape this website back to what it was when we first joined. We are the future of HP. Have no shame, show your pride.
Thank you.
Chat Master,
Rok
I understand what you are saying, but you have to keep in mind that blogs are basically for the purpose on someone to rant on about whatever they feel like at that moment or want to address to the attention of individuals. For us to enforce these rules and DICTATE these people with NO EXCEPTIONS, it'd be idiotic because we'd then be putting restrictions on one to express oneself truly. Not only that, it'd be IMPOSSIBLE to truly enforce this with no flaw in doing so.
I, as a moderator, am not oblivious to these things you've brought to mind, but I'm just being reasonable. If I see something that is just truly intolerable, I would do something about it. Again, you have to consider the fact that a blog is not just like every other post. It's a personal expression. It may be good or bad. It may be heart breaking or joyous. If we enforce these rules with NO EXCEPTIONS, we are basically now allowing people to express how SHI-TTY their day was. It's almost like we won't be allowing them to have any other expression unless one is expressing happiness or a very blunt "I am sad" & "I am angry". Words might be necessary to certain idividuals to express their degree of emotions. People are different. They will express themselves in different ways. And that is why blogs come in handy. They're made for that sole purpose.
I'm very sick of this. It's not that we (or some of us) aren't doing our jobs. We do see what is going on, and we do take action if we feel it is SERIOUS enough. Foresay, a little glich in someone failing to follow the 'terms of policy' because they used a few curse words or two are, I believe, tolerable. It won't kill anyone. I distinguish between what isn't perfect - but is adequate, and what is too extreme to bear.
"Let's shape this website back to what it was when we first joined."
-- When I first joined this website, I was free to express my mind. Nobody died in the process & nobody was scolded for little things that we, as moderators, are being asked to dictate people upon.
Some parts of your post confused me because I couldn't tell what you were referring to exactly or specifically.
Even the law isn't perfect. It makes exceptions. And the thing is, IT IS OKAY. It's whatever is reasonable and necessary. If this is becoming too big of an issue, perhaps we should just not have blogging available to anyone at all. Things are really getting too ridiculous.
Let's talk about this some more if and when possible. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.
You......are so hot.
Hrm. I get where Rok and Smailee are coming from. It's kinda ironic how it's often said that we should better ourselves just for the sake of ourselves. And then someone does something to someone else, and all else is forgotten. LoL, then it's kinda like tag war....haha, that's the image I have in my mind. Like WWII, where it started out with two countries....but because of alliances, more and more countries are drawn in. Breaking the terms and conditions are kinda like that, one does it, another does, and more follow suit. Domino effect is maybe a better term. Take your pick, but I mean them in similar ways. The moderators are the ones who have to pick up the pieces and sort out the connecting parts, but they have to be selective in doing so, so that the same thing doesn't potentially happen again.
In the end, I guess it's kinda like following the law or taking the law into your own hands. It's not good if you pick which to follow and which to bend, but it's done anyway 'cause humans have preferences. So....I hope that SOMETHING happens. Cause at least that way, we'll know someone tried for something and not anyone doing nothing.
You all are correct but my intention wasn't to dictate this website. As you two had stated, rules are made to be broken and I have nothing to say about that because it is very true. And even a person who continuously break the rules will be caught at one time. If doing what I had requested is too much to ask then I guess I'll have to put up with two more months of these repeated blogs. It's grown to be very hostile and I would just like to see some discipline.
I never expected any of you to throw out a no exception sign on the blog/forum because I myself don't throw out a no exception sign on the chat room either. My request was submitted also on request of an anonymous user who has written me a message concerning all the commotion here on HP.
Have a great day and thank you for the replies. It showed me another side that I really never thought about.
It's grown to be very hostile

Depending on the nature of the violation, HmongPride.com at its sole discretion may terminate Customer's account. Would like to support this, but has no clue how to do so.
My request was submitted also on request of an anonymous user who has written me a message concerning all the commotion here on HP.
Must be a moderator that doesn't want to show that he/she gives a crap about this website.
Blogs are blogs, if anything we should limit the "SERIOUSLY" of a blog. like... if you are venting, feel free to but if it's a blog that CLEARLY states violence, a mean of a threat then please do take actions.
