Anyways... There's no need to persuade others that God exists.
If you feel it necessary to, then that just means that you doubt His existence and need assurance.

No, i dont wish the bible was true. I know it is true becuase its the only book that survive for hundreds of years even when many people have try to eliminated it in the past. It contains real historical events and support by Archeologist. And yet, the bible still stands today. I support businessman but I think he needs to be a little more understanding about people who have yet to learn about God's kindness and his sacrifice. Due to the evil in our hearts that Jesus sacrificed himself. Without Jesus, we will never be pure enough to stand infront of God. My faith in God allows me to be confident in life.

The Christian God is a personal God who intervene in human affairs (Jesus Christ). The God that we worship is unlike the universe since everything is not God. Accordng to historical evidence, Jesus was crucified in about 33 AD. There are many eye-witnesses accounts that walked, eat and talked with Jesus while He was on earth. Prior to Hs death, He Got tortured. If you and i were there to see the incident taking place then there would be empirical evidence of DNA etc.
But we werent there to see it happened. There are many people who have gone before us since we're born in this age, there's nothing we can do about it. History is history and you just have to deal with it! However, God preserved His words for us today, something that man have try to destroy few hundreds of years ago and yet, the bible still stands! Im not sure what kind of evidence you are looking for. But for the sake of this argument, i'll give you one evidence that God does exists. Here, i woud say that logical absolutes exists. Therefore, God exists. For example, A cannot be B and B cannot be A at the same time. Do you agree? For you as an atheist, you have a presuppositional worldview. Here you stated that there is evidence from the scriptures that God does exist, yet the only foundation to this is the bible itself, nothing of any valid proof. You rant about how the scriptures support your theory that God does exist, but none of them verifies that any of your belief is true—nonetheless, the only resource you have depended on and can relate to is the bible. You may argue that these scriptures are true, but how are they true? How did they become to exist? They exist because they are the art of men, thus they are not valid.

What scientific evidence have you provided that supports the existence of God? You stated that Science points to an intelligent designer; however, that is only to your belief that God is the creation. How can you validate that God is the designer, by relating it back to the bible? Sorry, i was reffering to my very first post. Nowhere have i stated anything about the bible, but only DNA and Intelligent Design etc.

One of the most leading scholar in this area is Bruce M. Metzger. He is a scholar of Greek, New Testament and Old Testament bible. He believes the bible to be trustworthy in terms of the history that it gives us. The Gospel accounts are rooted in key eye-witnesses testimony and they're written so early within the lives of eye witnesses who would of spoken about it at the time.
There are Archaeology confirmation of many biblical incidents which gives us confidence that the writers were careful, and the history that they recorded. There are more than 24,000 manuscripts of the New Testament writings compare to "Homers Ilias" which is the second most historical documents ever written - i believe about 600 of them.
If you want to discredit the Bible, you must also discredit Plato's writings and Aristotle as well. That is becuase the Bible is better preserved and more in number than any other ancient documentation. Lets see... Plato's writing was around 300-400 BC, Aristotle 380 BC. Almost allscholars agree that the New Testament documents were written before the 1st Century - thats about 50-70 AD dude. Jesus was crucified in 33 AD, so that means the New Testament were completed within 70 years. This is crucial due to the fact that there were many people around during this time. So, if the documents are inaccurate, plenty of people would have pointed it out dont you think? But there is none. Everybody pretty much accept 1st century document.

Logic tells us that either something is what it is, and not what it is not. So either God is the designer or he is not. Either God exists or not exist. Do you agree? Both cannot be true at the same time in the same sense. I believe God does exists and he is the Designer. Think about this:
For example: What i type here resembles "information". The more increase letters and numbers i type, the complexity it gets. Information gain is when you actually understood the meaning of the word. Believe it or not, i actually typed this. It does not type on its own! Information shows order and design, so by deleting and chopping up words in half loses all its meaning.
Likewise, information encoded within our DNA are complex and it has full meaning. DNA could lose its meaning when mutation occurs which corrupt the language codes. So therefore, it loses its meaning. This doesnt help at all. In fact, we're losing information not gaining. So how does DNA relates to the bible? Very simple.
The bible says in Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." This implies that there was "information" from the beginning. If natural laws and materialism cannot produce information, then how did it get there? Based on known observation, it would have to come from an intelligent sender. This does rationalize that something must put it there. How would you go about having "information" without intelligence? Are you crazy? We know that it is impossible becuase information comes from the mind.
This is powerful evidence for a Creator and an huge problem for you. Nothing can create information even no law of physics able to to do so. Perhaps, it's time to set your prejudices aside and consider where the evidence leads you. Goodluck! Maybe you need to word your evidence in his vocabulary. Not everyone understands scientific language.

Again, a bunch of bull crap from this deluded believer. First of all, he tried to support his defense against those who disbelieve in God, scientologists, by stating that he has "scientific" evidence to prove. How could one be legitimate to oppose Scientology and its mechanism, then comes around to support his theory with it? Thus far, Businessman has not proven nor persuaded me that God does exist. Using the bible, an artwork of another, to support and evidence the reasoning to the existence of God and Jesus Christ is indefinite and irrelevant.

Scientology is different from Biblical Christianity dude. Scientology was invented by L. Ron Hubbar in 1954. He was a science-fiction writer during the 30s and 40s. Scientology is a cult claims to help mentally or emotioanlly disturbed people. It is built on a secular thinking that man is good and his survival depends on himself along with the universe etc. Although it claims to have similiar Christian sounding languages, it opposes Christianity on its very core beliefs.

You got the wrong idea. Now, if you like to talk about Christian Science then that is something different. It isn’t so much the evidence you do not accept becuase no evidence conveyed you. You don’t accept the fact-as your starting point-simply becuase you dont want evidence.

I strongly disagree. What Hamah does here is similiar to most non-Christians, set up ground rules for debate. I stand on the Word of God becuase it is my foundation - concerning the things we believe, live and what it says. I could turn this debate around by asking Hamah to discard his own reasoning as well.
We should not give up our thinking when we believe the bible. In fact, the opposite is true. We use the bible becuase it is the Word of God and is our foundation. The opposite is just as true... Why dont you give up your reasoning? Obviously, that is your only foundation correct? Where do you based your reasoning on? If it is only your reason, why should anybody believe you too? What evidence do you have that these scriptures are not true, and that God does not exist? If you like to discuss about logic we can. Just create a new thread. We can leave the bible and everything aside. We'll only argue for and against logic if thats what you want.
