Have you ever cried or seen a guy cry at a wedding?
Well, personally, I have never had a wedding of my own because I'm not married yet. But I have been part of both of my sisters' wedding. And yes, I did cry at their weddings. I guess, the alcohol had some effect with it, but yeah as an older brother you watch everyone grow up. And when you're sitting at the table drinking away, you start thinking about all the times when you were younger and that you took care of them.
At the same time you're happy for them that they have grown up and now are ready to start their own lives. Alcohol does really make it hard to hold back those thoughts and tears from rolling.
So tell us your experience or what you seen?
Rok, in 2-3 years, come back to this thread. =)
Hopefully HP will be around. Lolz!
Sure, blame it on the alcohol.
It's nature to cry when you see someone you love get married like that. Shoot, I can have no real relation to the bride and groom and still shed a few tears here and there. Even your little story got me going for a minute there. It doesn't hit us how fast our siblings and others around us are growing up until such a big event like a wedding occurs. The best way to avoid thnking and even crying is to lock all your siblings into a dungeon. No bf or gf for them. lol.
Not married too. But I know when it comes the time for me, I will surely cry for sure. Happy and sad tears. Both will come at once.
Lolz. You can't lock away anyone for good. If there's a will, there's a way. My dad, like most Hmong dads, is super strict; and my sisters still ran off and got married. Lolz!
I'll let you know when i get marry. But when my sister got married, i didnt cry. It could be because im the youngest child and i knew that she will come back and visit us.
Probably cause you're the youngest, it's harder for us older siblings cause we're the ones seeing everyone grow up and we take care of them.
Damn, This is a really good thread. Peter, good job. =)
you rock!

****Suree!! Blame it on the Alcohol. lmao jkjkjkk..
i know what you mean and its fine. it's okay to cry at weddings.
i have cried at my sister's wedding too.
I know. I just needed a lame excuse.
I always feel sad when i see guys cry. It's the sweetest and saddest thing to see!
I think guys feel the same towards girls; it's sad to see them cry.
I agree Mailee. Us guys are so tough hearted; so when you see a guy cry, it's truely something big that bothers their emotions.
Some guys are wussies though O.o
Some guys just cry, so us girls will for sorry and love them more..
I'll cry with you next time you cry in front of me
I've actually never really attended weddings so I don't really have much to speak from.
But according to the very few weddings that I've attended, nope. Haven't seen a guy cry. Aww. Peter you're so caring for your sister.
Reading your little passage makes me sad. LOL!
I think I would be crying at that point too, since I'm almost the oldest one in the family. But then again, I'm a stubborn one so the tears would have to be forced out. LOL!
They won't be forced out.
They'll be willingly.
IDK..I've only seen drunk guys, crying and making a fool out of themselves.
LOL Mary. xD
Hm...recently my cousin/neice just got married. I guess it was a sad event...because I played sucha (big) role as to why she got married. But I didn't cry...my eyes got watery...but I didn't cry. I think the only time I cried was when my other cousin got married. o.O But I think the only reason why I was crying was because I was a kid, and everyone was crying so I followed suite. xD And just like Karen, somebody will have to force my tears out. xD Sadly, I cry for the stupidest things. -_- And once something like this comes along, I have no tears for it. >.>
On the other hand, I have seen guys cried. =) Like Smailee said, it does make me sad when I see a guy cry, because it hardly ever happens.
When i see a guy cry. I just Stare..for a very very long time.
I don't cry at weddings but I'm a crybaby though.
Nope I haven't cry at any wedding. o.O
Maybe cause I'm happy for them or maybe cause they are just cousins and not siblings? Who knows. Lol =] liiFe
Probably because they aren't you siblings. I never cried at my cousin's weddings.
I've cried at every single weddings I been to, whether i knew them or not. Its just all in the moment--when two people, in this whole entire world finds eachother, and something maggical happens and they are in love and will be spending forever together...
Aw. How thoughtful of you.
It shoudn't be a shame for a guy to cry at a wedding. It just means they're more sensitive than others.
JK
Yes, i have, and at times, it's quite funny to see the guy cry more than the girl.
Yes I've seen guys cried at weddings, blame the alcohol. =) Literally blame it on the alcohol! LOL
Lmfao! It's all the emotions bottled up inside. =)
My uncles and father cried when my sister got married, and I was the one left to console them 'cause everyone had already left. It's sad to see older men cry.
Agree.
It is sad.
Then again, we should be happy for the bride and groom.

My cousin did. He balled his eyes out. He was young and she was prego. I can see why. Lol.
My uncle did. This was his second wife, he balled his eyes out because she wasn't someone he wanted. She pretty much tricked him to let her stay overnight with him and bam! Next day, she blackmails him. Poor guy.
Honestly, when people cry at weddings for all the wrong reasons, I feel bad for them. It's like, that's the rest of their life. Poor guys and girls.
I never cried at a wedding before.
I have never seen a Hmong guy cry at a wedding. =]
It's always the women who shed tears.
Nope, I wasn't sad at all about my sister wedding.
I was kind of glad to think about it. That she was leaving...
There's only my sister and myself, the only two childrens. She was the older one so she got everything she ever wanted. Whatever she did that was a mistake, it falls down onto me and prevents me from getting the same thing she got or getting even something better.
You could say she was always the favorite one.
But then as time goes on. I start realising how much I really did care about her as my sister, anyone would.
I have seen a man cry on his wedding jst dis past summer...
He's the groom...I don't know y he cried...maybe he's happy...it's kinda awkward cuz the bride didn't cry with him...

I'll tell you my experience when Lina get's married in..... roughly 2-3 years
