Mother's Day Writing Contest

Yes it's early, but I want to give everyone time to write one. There are no deadlines yet, but here's the info:
Write a essay/poem about your mother or a female that has had an impact in your life.
This idea is fairly fresh so I have not yet picked my judges. (I will select 3)
There is no minimum or maximum; write whatever you feel will express yourself.
I don't have a prize for the winner yet, but I'm sure I can come up with something. Let's try this out and see how it goes!

Eldest Son

I feel like I'm in fifth grade again,
Writing poems, learning in a classroom with friends.
Rhyming bit by bit, line by line, word by word,
This poem of mine is a poem for my mother.
Not another mMothers Day poem where I list the goods from the bad
But a poem to thank you for still staying with dad,
For working hard so that you can provide a house for me,
Making sure I was always warm and putting the shoes on my feet.
You fed me food and made sure I was full,
Even taught me what's right from wrong to prevail me from being a fool.
From putting school supplies in my backpack and to changing my diapers,
I appreciated it when I had no money and you made gracious offers.
Even though I knew that you only had a dime,
You always thought better my son than spent as mine.
You loved me in every possible way a mother can love her son,
Opening my doors to a brighter future and sun.
I just wanted to let you know mom that I love you more than I can ever put in words,
I love you so much but it's hard for me to let you hear.
I know I don't ever say it much so please forgive me,
I love you mom, this is from your eldest son your one and only.
