Mozilla Firefox VS Microsoft Internet Explorer

What are your takes on the web browsers? Which one do you prefer or use? Or do you use another web browser?

Currently, I have Mozilla Firefox 3.0.12, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, and Opera 9.60.

Out of the 3, I use FireFox on a daily basis with an IE add-on for my FF. It's quite niffy since I won't have to go into a different browser just to emulate some of the IE features that FF doesn't support. Anyhow, I enjoy using FF more with all the little gadgets that it comes with, not to mention it surfs the net a lot faster. Also, it doesn't have the bothersome ActiveX, which most of us would know that on IE ActiveX can install you unwanted viruses, adwares, and spywares.

I only use IE when I must or when something doesn't load right on my FF. My MSN defaults the inbox to IE, which I've been meaning to change, but too lazy due to the fact that I've been trying to setup a XUbuntu 9.04 file server with my old PC. Opera, I only used it back then when my FF wouldn't load HP's digichat. I don't know what was wrong with it, probably with one of the applets that I uninstalled.

FireFox is by far, the best in my opinion. Opera is a mix between IE and FF. While Internet Explorer sits on my low end, it's still used once in a while; I haven't uninstalled it yet.

Im currently using FireFox 3.5.1 (its in beta testing), IE. 8.0, and Chrome.

FireFox is my main and default browser. Reason is because of the add-on that allows me to browse faster. It blocks ads, pop-ups, and the look of FireFox is more pleasant than IE. FireFox does not have quite that many loopholes as IE does. Loopholes that hackers use to obtain information about the user.

Chrome is my second browser that i use. I like how it keeps a number of websites that i have visit recently on its main page whenever it loads. It is smiliar to FireFox but since i use FireFox more, i hardly touch Chrome.

IE is my last resort when all other browser that i use fails. Fails in using certain sites such as FAFSA.

I tested safari but i just didnt like the UI (user-interface).

In the end, i prefer to use FireFox over the other browsers.

I use Firefox Mozilla.
It loads much faster and easier to navigate through because I don't have to deal with so many pop up windows.

Internet Explorer is used only when something on Firefox doesn't show through like Peter mentioned.

It certainly is. I can't believe I used to deal with IE.

Internet Explorer is actually more stable than Firefox, gadget wise. I have Internet Explorer 7.0 and FireFox 3.0.6, but mainly use IE. If I need to download something, I'd copy the link on IE and paste it onto FireFox.

IE is definitely, a lot faster than FireFox in every way, probably because it's built into the OS(Windows) where as FireFox is an application that needs to be installed.

The only downside about IE is that it doesn't have a download file logger to keep track of what you downloaded, reason why I have downloads disabled on my internet options.

BTW Peter, you can't make MSN open links into FireFox anymore, Microsoft made it so it MUST open in IE, unless you have version 8.0 or less.

Well, my MSN did use to open up in FireFox before I unblocked IE from my firewall and updated it.

When a program is blocked by a firewall, then another program cannot access it. =P Therefore your MSN used an alternate Web browser.
