Hello, 1st of all, this shall be my 1st thread. YAY!
Second, I think we should have a seperate "relationship" board and an "advice" board. just my thought.
Anywho, back to the thread.. NOW tell me... who here ever fell in love with someone who likes anime, videogames, mangas, all that stuff?
Knowing your s.o. like those stuff... does that makes you sad? mad? confuse? HAPPY? just wondering.
Is it an O.K. in your list to have a lover around that has a passion for these otaku things?
if yes, please share why and if no, tell us why too.
and lastly share advices for those who are in need.

I think we should have a seperate "relationship" board and an "advice" board.
There are actually two advice threads. One is here and the other is in Teen to Teen. But there isn't an obvious line to draw the difference between the two.

I wouldnt say fall in love, but I have liked someone who was madly in love with video games.

It does get annoying at times, but it's his hobby. Can't really take that away from him. He does what he likes, kinda like a passion. Would be cruel of me to just make him give up what he likes to do.

Of course I would mind! I freakn hate smoking with a passion.Smoking isn't a hobby, it's an addiction. If I can't get you to stop, that's when I walk off.
Plus, if you were a smoker, I wouldn't even bother looking your way.

it really depends how they distribute their time with u and his obsessions...for example, my bf is kind of obsessed with a ftp shooting game online, but he only plays wen he has complete free time, gets off when i tell him to, or he plays late at night wen im sleeping so i couldnt care less. so as long as he keeps me happy, some personal annoyances may be waived sometimes

I think most people ask for advice on blogs. Weird but you can ask it there or here.
Sometimes I'm into Otaku things too so I think it shall be fine if the other person has a passion or likeness for certain things. I don't mind as long as that person is not too crazy over it and focus on me once in awhile. But I don't like it when I'm talking to people and their eyes are glue to the T.V. >=[
But yeah any hobby is fine as long as they are not into drinking blood, a drug dealer, anything beyond normal. What's normal? I don't know.....something for me to decide. liiFe

lmao. i didnt take the time to read wat other wrote but heres mah situation. mah ex ws into the whole anime stuff n i let it be kuz he like watchn that stuff. to make him happie, i started watchn the anime crap n no i didnt like it at all. it bored meeh so watever. i onlie watched it to make him happie n at least i put effort into it so yea. after we broke up, i stopped watchn it. point being, if he likes watchn anime then let him. join in if u want to.
