Its been too long, nights in my mind, tried to rewind-
He fights to the light, but the darkness kindly declines.
Whether he's right or wrong he keeps on finding the signs-
like lightning on life, his past back-flashes right before his eyes.

All the things in the world that I wish I could have never done.
It all leads up to whether if I should have been a better son.
But you couldn't believe how hard it was to had grab a hold of me.
My family, planned me to be, everything my older brother Sam was suppose to be.

And my whole life I needed comfort. Grandmother, I always loved her.
Until she passed and I was so sad, I walked through hallways of sunder.
That's where I should have been, lying there six feet deep under.
I promise you now that everything I do I'll always bring the Thunder.

Cuz it was you, and only you who believed that i would achieve-
anything in life, and if I could trade mines for yours then i'd retrieve it.
Most wouldn't believe me if I blabbed on with this sad song.
I guess it truly does go to show, you don't know what you have until it's gone.
