Suggestions for Admin from another eye.

When it comes to choosing Forum Moderators and Chat Masters, I would suggest you to choose people who are responsible and can handle the pressure of such a privilege that has been given to them. Somebody who will think twice before ruining someone's day just because theirs wasn't the best. You shouldn't look at their popularity and fame because that has nothing to do with moderation. Also users who's been here longer than another doesn't reasonably say that they're more committed to this website than someone who's only been here for a while. I suggest that you ask the users of HP to nominate and cast their votes for the candidates who they think are suitable for the position.
There are many improvements that can be made here on HP and I would suggest an upgrade of the chat room interface. It would be nice to see something that looks different than what we've had for years. After all, the website had a huge make-over, why not the chat room too? I would suggest that you find a chat room that is capable of web cam hosting and audio output. If you intend to keep your chatters inside your chat room, then this is what they want. Many has migrated to other sites just for a chat room interface which is capable of doing what I had said above. Another reason why I think that there should be an upgrade for the chat room interface is to allow more tools for the Chat Master. Having experience with a Chat Master account myself, the tools could really use an upgrade. Maybe scripted commands right into the chat room itself to reduce the mouse clicks. Viewing of IP/ISP for Chat Master integrated next to the user's screen name. A new way to block a single user without having to risk blocking other users along with one user could also be something that you want to take a look at. Could I suggest something like a MAC ban to prevent modem resets to renew their IP from certain ISPs. The current chat room interface has many bugs that you may or may not be aware of. Holding enter in private chat will ban yourself from entering the chat room again and the kick exploit also uses the same screen but differently. These are just two things that I would suggest you to take a look at also.
For improvement on the website which is made up of blogs, polls, and forums, there are also many improvements that can be looked at. First of all, it would nice if a user poll could be integrated into the same user's blog or forum. The option to choose whether a forum/blog consists of a poll should be an option. Integrating the polls into the blogs/forums will mean that there is no need for a separate page for a poll itself. A poll already has available, opened replies for users who would like to comment on the poll so why not just have this little option along with the forum/blog. Also, a poll may also be used to record many things on a forum. For ex: It may be used as a rating system for someone's writing. That's just one thing that talk about there but there are still more to come.
An option that should be available to a Moderator on the websites is the power to block a certain user on the website. I'm sure you remember when your site was spammed endlessly for a month or two with advertisements. This will allow the moderators on the website to block an unwanted user from either disturbing the peace within the forum/blog community and rid of future spammers. You can consider that or may even consider adding a warning level for all users who uses the forums/blogs. A moderator may warn another user VIA a message that is delivered to the user upon log in or while they're still logged in that their next warning will lead to a punishment. There should also be a warned counter to help other moderators keep track and be more organized on how many warning a user has to take the right actions upon another infringement.
Going on about banning again, I suggest that for both the website and chat room that there should be an automated urban after a certain amount of time. This will allow punishments to be more severed and used more frequently to manage all users here on this website.
These are just a few words from me to you to give you a lead on what sort of improvements is needed. There's always room for improvements and the possibilities is just endless. Best of luck to you.
P.S. Another suggestion that just came up. As you did for the forum, maybe chat masters should also be listed on the Chat Room page.

Agreed on the moderators and CM accounts...there are some just lying around kinda not doing anything, busy or something, but that doesn't help HPers cause sometimes they aren't there when we need them. -_-'
And it would be good if moderators could block certain users from posting.
I've heard that HPchat used to enable audio? I wasn't here for that...but I'm not sure how that would go...the chatroom would then have to go through an entire different makeup so that you are allowed to hear only what you want to hear. I hear that that is on atown too..but I don't have an atown, therefore that is useless for me to know.
But like Nerdy said, Admin would have to be in the chatroom to see what we see and read the blogs/forums to read what we read.
I like your input, Rok. I've always liked reading what you have to write.

What's there to fight you off if all you do is leech around here posing as a hacker. Months has passed since your first attempt to hack HP and you still remain the same old idiot you are. It doesn't matter what you say to me, call me names if that makes you any better. You probably hold a grudge on me because I was a CM on HP and you desperately wanted to be one too.
In my eyes, you're nothing but a leech. All you can do is phish and spam but yet you call yourself undisputed. Quit your posing, you're nothing other than another user here who thinks that he can hack.
Simply put, shut the fuck up, quit acting like the worlds most wanted hacker, quit trolling my threads, and quit harassing me, you ain't getting anywhere.
Although you don't qualify to be categorized as a hacker, I'm sure many would agree to categorize you as a stalker.

One thing I don't understand about the Admin is that why is the Admin ignoring the fact that this site is the not same place like how it is years ago. Many people has been hurt or been targeted at is because of this damn place. Not just that, but it all started in this site. No matter how much us user put effort towards this, nothing isn't going to change when the Admin acts like that. You know what I mean, Rok? I mean come on, you're the Cm and the Admin doesn't even come in your thread and read from one of his Cm's points of view. What kind of bullsh!t is that? Do you think you're too good for us or something, Admin? God damn. I'm pretty sure that some of us user had sent the Admin messages and that the Admin is sick and tired of us complains and worries. In order to stop that, the Admin took out the messaging box. Now that just show that our concern and words don't mean sh!t to the Admin. Or maybe the Admin is fixing it, but that's how it's going to be until the Admin puts it back on there.

Not even a bit. I won't have much to say since Rok has pretty much cover it. Admin, pick your choice wisely or in the future it'll be more problems than this. Just a quick heads up for you.

Ahh, the chat room. Don't get me started on this. Admin, the chat room is the main thing that you need to be working on. Take some time and enter the chat room and see what goes on there. Pretty much since your site isn't so organize, many people have already say their last goodbye to us and your site. Kicking: There are so many people who know how to kick, Using the glitching kick. Like come on? Are you guys that bored to be kicking people off? Go read a book or something if you guys are bored. Damn, how annoying. Now that people are getting use to this, there is a program that you could kick within a click. If only Admin was here at the time where there were the massive kicking.
Problem solve.
Not just kicking, but spamming as well. Like, what the freaking... What happens to the auto-ban? Is it out of services or something? Because it sure aren't working when spammer are in the chat room. Again, Rok has it all in details.

Taking about the Cm's. Even when you're a Cm's, it doesn't make you any difference from just a regular user. The Cm's just have more things that he/she needs to do. People that haven't be in that position wouldn't know how it feels like. An example, "Why did you banned me? What did I do for you to banned me? Unbanned me right now! Cm's are stupid and doesn't take their job seriously." Like, what the hell is all of that? Chill the freak down. It's not as easy as it seem to be. I know how it feels when everyone points finger and blame it on a "certain" person. What can you do? You can't do anything, but to take the blame. There are other Cm's, but all the Cm's are in together. They share the same roll and everything.
Everything is under control.
The Cm's are pretty much busy, so they don't login as much. After all this time, I've only see like "one" Cm on. For the others one, I have no clue what had happen to them. The chat room is dead. No Cm's is around. The user could do anything now. What a good idea, huh? Admin, your chat is not a safe place to be at since it's not well set up.
No need for concern.

Virus, bugs, worms, etc.. Admin, your site pretty much have all of those. You need to double check on those sort of things. My devices is crashing down is because of those. I know that you won't care, but it's harming my devices. Fix your stuff and reboot certain things. There many of bugs and all sort, that's why some people could do certain things on the chat room. Find those things and remove it.

A message to the Admin.
There aren't a site without an Admin. Everyone is saying that the Moderator's and Cm's needs to be more active, but how come no one is saying the same toward you? You should be the first person that is referring to. You could be mad and annoyed as much by me, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who feel this way. Just that others are not willing to step it to you and blow everything on you at once. You listen carefully, Admin. Why would the Moderator's and Cm's cares when the Admin doesn't even give a damn about his own site? Of course, they wouldn't care as much since the "Admin" is never around nor reply back to any of them. I understand that you're a busy person and all, but I'm pretty that you could find time to come and control your own belongings (Site&Chat room). Yes, I agreed on you that we do do need some changes on the site. Anyone couldn't agreed more. Like Rok mention, the chat room needs some major changes.
I'm pretty sure you would not even pay attention to me or Rok, so I won't be wasting more time telling you or pointing things out to you. It'll just be a waste of my time and your also. I doubt that you'll even glance at this, so it doesn't matter. I'm just a user after all. I don't phase you, remember? Everything need more changes, but there are one more thing that need the most. Admin: You're the one that needs to be upgrade. It's to sad to say, but yes I said it. Someone needs to knock some sense out of you in order for you focus and do your job correctly.
After this you might ban my account or delete my post, yes I'm prepared for that already. I can careless that if those things happens to my account, at least I had said what I have say. It'll just show how bad you are as an "Admin" when things are pointed out for you and all you do is ban and delete. After that, I'll remember how the Hmong Pride's Admin treat his/her user as.

Some of you might think that I'm stupid and mad at the Admin, but I can careless. At least I'm doing this for all of us. I'm speaking out and putting the Admin on the spot. I'm taking a stand and will like the Admin to see what a "user" like me has to say. Hate me, dislike me, like me, or love me. It doesn't matter what your view of me. At least I know that I stand up for all you guys and try to make this place like how it is way back when everyone was once happy.

Hmmm, basically everything I'd like to say has been said already. Adding on to Rok's mentioned point of the 'spamming' that took place for 'months' - oh don't even get me started on that. Lols. As difficult as it was, I and the other two active moderators constantly deleted these explicit photos posted of women as well as the spamming blogs. Don't get me wrong. The admin DID reply and act upon my message notifying him of all this. And of course I'd like to thank him for not ignoring that sent message. However, there is - as Rok and Mushroom have perfectly stated and pointed out - a lot of work to be done. It'd really be nice to not have to always message the Administrator everytime ruthless people come on and do idiotic things because us moderators really do NOT have THAT MUCH POWER as some of you may assume. The thing is, it SHOULDN'T take people to SEND MESSAGES for something to be done. However, we can't even 'ban' or 'warn' certain individuals causing problematic scenes on here as other forum moderators have the abiliy to do so.
There's no doubt that there has been an intensely great amount of unnecessary drama and acts of immaturity. While reconstruction of the site is in progress, I hope that ALL USERS keep in mind that it's not just the downfall of the administrator, moderators, and chatmaster(s)on their/our part of doing their/our jobs, but it's also EVERY other MEMBER who chooses to participate in the childish acts as well. What is needed is an improvement upon communication between one another and the ability to discuss issues openly AND APPROPRIATELY. As long as us all, as members, wish for a greater, expanding Hmongpride community, we mustn't just sit and stare then follow up by complaining.
Let's all cooperate together to make the changes we look forward to and be open-minded to the changes and progression of it all. =)

I agree with you. Like EC Karen mention in the other forum, no more than four moderators are needed. Plus, the admin needs to be more active in the chat to see what's going on! Butttt yeeehhhh it's whatever.
