Another poem from my friend. Enjoy.
YOU AND ME
She said, "Look into my eyes, & tell me what you see"
I told her what I saw, I told her, "You & me."
I held onto her hand, never wanting to let her go
And telling her a secret that I wanted her to know
Whispering in her ear, she then begins to cry
As people pass along, they begin to wonder why
Waiting for her response, I'm blank without a clue
Then she smiles at me, and tells me, "Yes I do!"
Fifty years from now, she'll say, "Look into my eyes, & tell me what you see"
And so I'll tell her what I see, I'll tell her, "You & me!!!"
