Who's online
you wanna talk Religion?!
Okay.. well like i stated in all the other forums..
*let others believe what they want to believe! they are not going to change their mind about their belief/religion when you tell them about your opinion.. they're not just gonna walk away and think "okay, i change my religion".. it's not that simple!
people are naturally stubborn.. and that's that. if they believe strongly in something.. then they really believe!
now for me, i am a Hmong Christian! and im proud of it! i was the first in my family ever to be born Christian, not even lying! for those of you who do not know how it feels like being the first in your family to be born Christian, it doesnt feel so good! everywhere you go, whether it's family gatherings or such and such, you have all these people coming up to you and say "Ooh, since you're the first one in your family to be born Christian, tell us your beliefs! because we think it's stupid and we want to know why you believe in it soo much!"
you find yourself dumb-strucked! not because you dont know what to say, but because if you show them up and tell them why you believe in a different religion, it would be considered disrespect! am i right?!
it's not easy coming from a Race that is all about Pride! even my other families such as my uncles and aunts look down on us just because of religion!
i always believed that family will always be family, no matter what! but here i am, with my family that is Christian that are being looked down upon, even from my aunts and uncles and the ones who really are related to me that are still Shaman!
i once heard that all Hmong people are related to each other in a way, am i right? so that makes us all family, am i right? and we were all born and raised to always help each other and be there for FAMILY, am i right?! *JUST BECAUSE SOME HMONG PEOPLE DECIDE TO BELIEVE IN A DIFFERENT RELIGION, DOESNT JUST AUTOMATICALLY MAKE US "NOT FAMILY" ANYMORE, AM I RIGHT?!
not even Hmong Christians are hypocrites.. ALL Hmong people who are against a religion other than Shamanism and looks down on other Hmong people who believe in a different religion, are hypocrites! hmong people are all about Pride and Respect. Love and Justice. and most of all, *always being there and loving each other no matter what!
and it seems like everywhere you turn, there's always someone hating on you just because you're NOT SHAMAN!
I DO NOT DISRESPECT THE HMONG CULTURE, CAUSE NO MATTER WHAT I DO, IT WILL ALWAYS BE MY CULTURE!
I DO NOT LOOK DOWN ON SHAMANS, BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR BELIEF AND I CANNOT SAY ANYTHING TO MAKE THEM WANT TO CHANGE THEIR RELIGION IF THEY DO BELIEVE STRONGLY IN IT!
EVEN THOUGH I AM A HMONG CHRISTIAN, I DO NOT THINK HIGHLY OF MYSELF, AND THAT I AM ALWAYS RIGHT AND MY RELIGION IS "BETTER THAN YOURS!"
You people shouldn't talk about religion really you know...
It's a crime!
Ahhh. The innocent talks of religion, how amusing. I find it quite annoying how some people try to dispute about religion but try to make it a friendly one.
Whatever the case is, I still say religion is nothing more but something that help leads people to live a reasonable and disciplined life.
Co-culture.

You said you were "born a christian," but the questions you need to be asking you self is "why are you a christian?" is being born into a christian home ur only justification for being a christian? what is a christian? what are the core beliefs of a christian? i can go on with a long list of questions, but i'm gonna wait for ur answers before i continue. BTW modesty doesn't take you anywhere in America
